When is the right time to start your business?

This is one of the questions that troubles the hearts of aspiring entrepreneurs. The answer to that 'Big question' however is NOW. Did you hear me?
The reason for that answer is that we always assume most things are impossible even when we have not taken the first step towards achieving it. Starting now helps you break your first barrier which is an internal barrier. Once the internal barrier has been overcome, a broad way of possibility will be open to the aspiring entrepreneur.
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse”-Vanessa Savery

On the internal barrier is solved, you will start living in reality, what do I mean? You will now set out to understand all the regulatory concerns, research out demographics, human needs, cost of machines or the alternatives methods of production for that particular product among other things.
In as much as we also think of starting now, we must also ensure that we think globally, what do I mean?
International companies like Coca-Cola, Samsung, Toyota, etc. have offices operating in different parts of the world, but this has not limited them from going global. In fact, this broadens their reach. The point I am passing across is that it does not matter where you are located or where you are operating from. What matters is your focus, your amplitude. What excuse do you have?
“Think globally, act locally.”Paul McCartney
Dear friend, I want to challenge you today to start thinking globally. Start thinking internationally. God himself is helping us and there is a lot of technology making this possible for us. Technology has made things easier for us than before.  All that we need is available to us and within our reach; the time to start is now! It is not enough to just begin; we must maintain action at that scope and keep working at reaching out to the whole world and influencing the nations.
The world has become a global village. It has no demarcations, no borders, it is seamless. Unfortunately, we still create our own borders, and live within them, so we confine ourselves to our countries and don’t see any further. We limit ourselves only to the areas around us (www.sundayadelajablog.com) which should not be.

As you start, you will start seeing the challenges and how to maneuver it. To avoid someone else from giving life to your dream or vision, the time to act is now as I very much believe that God gives ideas to about 3 people at the same time. Starting now may actually give you an edge over every other 'to be' competition. Read my previous article on 'start early' it will go a long way to help you.

Understand Priority!

It is important in life and especially business to prioritize ideas. Some questions that will help us as regard priority includes "when should this idea be implemented?" "Do I have all it takes to implement this idea now, if not, when will I have them?" "Won't it be late to implement this idea in so so and so time?" Etc. Many times, it's difficult to run/implement two or more ideas at a time but through priority we can still achieve them all though at different times. It also prevent tying up of capital and that may even affect both businesses. In priority, it's best to do the easiest first or one in which one has more expertise or one better research. In priority, a schedule is also important. When we ask the necessary questions, it would help us know how prepared we are for every idea we intend to implement less we start and encounter problem not anticipated. Some ideas are best implemented now than allowing them to wait while some are bet...

Prime movers of Agriculture!

It is good that the clamour for Nigerians to return to agriculture from the Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration of 1976 has been sustained by successive government. However, the problem with most of the call to return to agriculture is that those clamouring for such end with the thought of exporting the agricultural produce, this I disagree with. The question is ‘who are the farmers?’ because most times we want everybody to go back to the farm and if I understand what we are saying we are simply encouraging subsistence farming which from age past have never reduce unemployment or increase government revenue. What types of agriculture should we then do?

Nigeria not ripe for agricultural export!

Over the years, the jingles about returning to agriculture has increased. Even a child would tell you that the solution to the Nigerian problem is returning to agriculture. The problem I have with those advocating for a return to farming has always been emphasis on exporting agricultural produce for foreign exchange. The truth is that we are not yet self sufficient and therefore should not be talking of export. One of the reasons why the prices of agricultural produce are costly and scarce today is because a large chunk that should have remained in circulation has been moved to the port for export. The local industries cannot even depend on our agricultural sector because of inconsistency in supply. If we therefore desire our industries to grow, it's time we stop export and focus first on local production and satisfaction. The excess can serve as export.
